The View From My Knees

I hadn’t expected anything to happen that night. It was a weeknight and I had to work the next morning. This was the first chance we’d have to really hang out in person. Our previous meeting was a group movie outing and we barely got a chance to talk. It was just enough, however, for both of us to acknowledge a mutual attraction. So after many more days of emailing we finally made plans to have drinks. I could get to know her better and meet her boyfriend.

Now, I’m not completely naive. I knew what they wanted. We had openly discussed their desire for a threesome during our emailing. But I figured that would come later, if it felt right. So that night we were just meeting for drinks. The conversation flowed freely and before I knew it I had sucked my vodka and Coke down and was ordering another. We soon moved to another bar next door so we could order some food and have even more drinks – this time a pitcher of hard cider. Things started getting flirtatious as legs touched under the table, hands brushed knees, and food was hand fed into open mouths.

I hadn’t noticed M much at first. Of course, I noticed a pretty face and an adorable smile, she was a fun and sweet girl. But it was her friend I had first been interested in. It was her friend that I had contacted first and invited to my party. After that party, I had hung out with the two of them several times and found myself paying more and more attention to sweet adorable M than exciting and sultry C. C was the life of the party and a true social butterfly, flying from person to person throughout the night. This left M and I to explore each other more closely, which is what we did at the party on Saturday night.
